I am spending a week away from home. I’m using it as a time to reset. Over the last few months I have developed some bad habits. I have gained weight and feel sluggish and dull. So this week I am using a VLCD diet to prepare for next week which I am planning to do a water fast.
I am also resetting my online habits. No social media and only videos and shows that help me with my reset. I was consuming a lot of trading videos and financial state of the world videos which truly are not increasing my joy or even helping me be a good trader/investor. In my quest to avoid these recommendations from the YouTube algorithm, I reset my site data and cookies to get a fresh feed. I click only on things that will help me increase my joy and satisfaction.
So today I was recommended 12 (Stoic) Questions That Will Change Your Life. One of the questions was “Who is this for?” and I thought about this blog. I don’t know if anyone will ever see it. I am not an SEO expert or a marketer nor do I presently want to invest funds to hire them so I’m left with pure organic search which is not what it used to be. Who I would like this blog to be for is people who are looking for simple, small and creative ways to change their lives to become happier, more joyful and more satisfied. I’ve learned that simple and small are not always easy but can be enjoyable.
It’s certainly not a “transform” your life in one day type thing. I wonder if those seminars or books or methods actually work in the long run. This is my slow and deliberate process, one tiny step at a time. Sometimes I take two steps forward and one step back but I feel there is always a progression in my life towards increased joy.
